DG Expressway organized a plantation drive on the 23rd July, 2008 at the IGI plaza. About 40 children from Ryan International School, Vasant Kunj, Delhi had participated in the drive and planted approx. 150 saplings in the vicinity of IGI plaza. It was an environment week for the children and all were energized enough for this entire initiative. It was a learning experience for the children and at the end of this activity each child was given refreshments. They all were keen on conducting follow-up activities to see how the saplings they had planted would be.
This is a small step towards an initiative by DG Expressway, and school students to work in tandem towards a cleaner, greener city. Our expressway is designed to care for the environment with major emphasis on green and clean environment by creating green zones around the vicinity.
